A serious dearth of English of education prompted Shri K.L.Rao, Irrigation Minister in the Central Government, to propose to Shri Telaprolu Bapanaiah to focus on filling this gap. Thus, Sri Telaprolu Bapanaiah English Medium High School was established in 1967. It is managed by Sri Telaprolu Bapanaiah Vidya Dharmanidhi Trust. The School Leaves no stone unturned to help its students reach greater heights of glory amidst tranquil harmony. Value based, child-centred education is the refrain, discipline its hallmark, extra ordinary results its tradition and accolades its laurel.
Situated in the heart of I Town, the school is accessible from all parts of the town. It caters to the needs of people belonging to all walks of life irrespective of caste, creed community, condition, religion and sex. Recognised and aided by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the school follows the State Syllabus in English Medium from classes I to X. Telugu and Hindi are taught as the 1st and 2nd languages respectively
Awareness of the importance of good school results has spread to every nook and corner. Parents hope that good marks for their children in school will lead to jobs and thereby security for the family. The dynamics of this development is to increase an unhealthy competition wherein school students are pushed into hysterical competition and unhealthy overwork. The School in effect becomes an alien world, which ineffectively tries to offer knowledge of very little relevance to the pupil, his or her social environment or the society he or she will meet as an adult on the job market. In short an agonising experience for the child and the parent.

It can be reiterated that the school is the only grooming place for any activity or course that may be pursued after stepping out of school.
Hence, vocational guidance and counselling form an integral part of the school curriculum. Students are guided/ advised to pursue courses in accordance with their aptitudes. Eminent speakers are invited to address the students from time to time. Seminars and Group discussions are a regular feature.
